Unless a valid alternate compensation model has been agreed upon and is in place, overtime is compensated in the following way:
- Time off or remuneration at the rate of 1.5 times the hours worked outside of the regular workday, and on the first day worked on the weekend.
- Time off or remuneration at double the hours worked on a statutory holiday and on the second day worked on the weekend.
- A meal allowance valued at $8 on June 1, 2006, to be indexed by the percentage salary increases.
- Reimbursement for taxi fare home when a minimum four hours overtime are worked. A receipt is required.
- It is up to the employee whether to choose time off or remuneration
