Should you be asked to do work that seems illegal or unethical, follow these guidelines:

  1. If you feel that the work you are being asked to do is a violation of university policy or regulations, or is morally or ethically unacceptable, contact the union (local 8603) for assistance.
  2. Refusal to perform the requested work should be considered your last course of action as it could result in disciplinary action from the University.
  3. Rather, if at all possible, delay doing the work until you have had an opportunity to discuss it with a union representative.
