Should you need to book off work for a reason other than illness, you should:
- Call in as soon as you know you will not be at work.
- Speak to your immediate supervisor, not to a non-management employee.
- If your supervisor is not available, get in touch with another supervisor in your department, for example, your supervisor’s supervisor.
• Please refer to Article 28, Social Leaves, Personal Leaves and Deferred Salary Leaves, of the CUPEU collective agreement for additional information.
