If a position is abolished:

  1. a permanent employee receives:
    • Severance Indemnity
      • 8 months + month for each complete year of service
      • maximum: 38 months
    • Tuition waiver
      • 5 to 14 years of service: 30 university credits
      • 15 to 19 years of service: 60 university credits
      • 20+ years of service: 90 university credits
  2. A temporary employee receives:
    • Severance Indemnity
      • 3 months + month for each complete year of service
      • maximum: 8 months
